2008... I guess??

2008 is a very interesting year for me...

1) the presidential elections will be occuring this year (I can not vote however but w/e)
2) at the beginning of the next year... I will a senior!! (chyea!!)

Now I realize that my list only comprizes of two things but still these two things are proably the most important things that can and will affect me in the upcoming years.

The election... now this election is the election that I have been focused on (granted I've only been alive for... what? 4 elections?? but still...). I think that as teenagers get older and older, we (because I am included in this) should be more involved in what goes on in our world instead of being just like OMG I can't believe this... this president sucks, blah, blah, blah. Okay? Of course the president is not going to meet the needs of EVERY SINGLE person in the United States but I think that this president (be it Republican or Democratic) will make a difference in the United States no matter how significant...

My personal preference is Barack Obama... does it have something to do with race?... Maybe... but that does not automatically determine my preference but it does influence it. It's harder for me though because I am female AND black so I have to choose... which candidate do I go for... the man that represents my color or the woman that represents me as a person? I honestly don't know... this question will something that I won't be able tomorrow or hell maybe even next year.

Senior year... the year that matters most (socially)... Prom... Senior Walk... Senior Breakfast... etc. And I have to pay for every single thing. I hate it... GOD I have to start working... again!!
=( It will be hard for me to do this but hopefully... I will be able to do it. =)

Barack Obama... FOR CHANGE!! =)
